.

Playing up to his dashing image, Ferry signed up to to model for M&S in 2007, a deal which was cut short when he made some questionable remarks praising the iconography of the Nazi regime.

.

"From the age of 10 years old I went to see Count Basie or Modern Jazz Quartet and they would be in black tie. People say to me, "Why do you dress elegantly on stage?" I say, "Why not? I'm on stage." Ferry quoted in GQ, May 17, 2011.

.

"The music that I write is generally quite emotional so it lends itself well to love songs, I don't want to be singing particularly about wind farms or the war going on here, there or anywhere." Ferry quoted in The Telegraph, May 28, 2013.
