The man who accused X-Men director Bryan Singer of sexually assaulting him at a party in Hawaii has been jailed for fraud.
Michael Egan claimed the filmmaker was among the Hollywood players who had their way with him at a series of industry pool parties when he was a teenager, but his case fell apart and he finally dismissed his suits against Singer and others last year (14).
Now he’s heading for a spell behind bars after being convicted of securities fraud.
A judge sentenced Egan to two years in federal prison on Tuesday (08Dec15), after hearing he had conned at least 14 people out of $300,000 (£200,000) in failed holiday-themed attractions, TMZ.com reports.
