Courtney Love Still Blasting Steve Coogan over Owen Wilson Suicide Tragedy

Courtney Love has publicly blasted former boyfriend Steve Coogan again, just two days after she blamed the British funnyman for actor Owen Wilson‘s troubles.

Love alleged that Coogan was a negative influence on Wilson and was partly to blame for the Wedding Crashers star’s suicide attempt on Sunday.

She said, “I tried to warn Owen (about Coogan)… I hope from the bottom of my heart that Owen stays the hell away from that guy.”

The Brit fired back, threatening legal action and stating, “These accusations are unfounded, unhelpful and hurtful to all concerned.”

But Love, who briefly romanced Coogan last year, is refusing to let the matter die.

Speaking to reporters outside her Hollywood home on Wednesday night, she raged, “There’s just some people who are good influences and some people who aren’t good influences.

“Hopefully the guy (Coogan) leaves us alone in this town and goes back to Brighton (England), or wherever the hell he’s from, and just maybe stays there.”

Love added that she’d learned Coogan had been hanging out with Wilson before the actor was found with his wrists slashed at his home in Santa Monica, California, and taken to the hospital.

She said, “It makes me really sad.”

Approached by reporters in Hawaii, where he’s vacationing with his family, funnyman Coogan refused to comment about Love‘s allegations.

In a statement released late on Wednesday, the Night at the Museum star said, “My thoughts are with my friend Owen at this difficult time, but I do want to set the record straight and say that the allegations are completely and utterly false.”
