Don’t worry you’re not losing it. It just seems as if Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid broke up ages ago.
Or maybe it’s because she filed for divorce back in March, but then later changed her mind. Then fast forward to six weeks ago when she put in the papers for legal separation. After all that paperwork you would think someone would have officially deemed the couple — who are the parents to 4-year-old twins, Zoe and Thomas — splitsville by now.
But according to TMZ, the actor filed his own divorce documents on Friday, asking the Los Angeles Superior Court for joint custody of his kids.
The couple were unable to put in the paperwork any sooner as California requires they reside in the state for a minimum of six months before filing. Or maybe they just want to give everyone involved enough time to change their minds before going through all the motions. We heard it’s been known to happen.
