Songwriter Diane Warren has been accused of stealing the lyrics to her song Look Away.
Brendan Graves claims she copied lyrics from his National Schools Makes Music Songwriting Competition entry, which was also titled Look Away, for her 1987 track.
In new legal papers, Brit Graves maintains he was 14 when he wrote the ballad for the contest, which was sponsored by bosses at EMI Records, who released Diane’s track 18 months later.
He is seeking $20 million (£15 million) in damages, according to TMZ.
