Gerardo Ortiz breaks chart record in U.S.

Singer GERARDO ORTIZ has broken chart records in the U.S. by landing his sixth Top Latin Albums number one this decade.
His Hoy Mas Fuerte has debuted at the top of the new countdown, breaking a tie with the late Jenni Rivera.
The release is also Ortiz’s sixth number one and sixth chart-topping debut on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart.
Hoy Mas Fuerte debuted at number 24 on the main Billboard 200 countdown on Wednesday (27May15), with 20,000 sales – the highest sales week for a regional Mexican male artist in almost seven years. He becomes the first of the genre to break 20,000 sales in a week since Marco Antonio Solis released No Molestar in 2008.
