Sunday saw the official kickoff of the 2013 awards season. With the Golden Globes, the ante is upped: good clothes (and bad) worn by a bunch of fancy Hollywood-types and those actors who deign to allow themselves to be seen on television plus and a legendary open bar. Boozed-up celebrities accepting awards in front of other celebrities? Welcome to the best night of your life.
Tonight saw a bevy of looks from the men and women of Hollywood alike. From bright red dresses with metal belts, big (dare we say garish?) floral prints, and white and lacy numbers — the Globes had it all, fashion-wise. Glitter abounded and Spanx were quadruple-layered for this year’s form-fitting numbers. There was lace, beading, and sequins for days. There was not a hem out of line nor a hair out of place… at least, until the liquor started flowing.
