J.B. Smoove boards Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel – report

Actor J.b. Smoove has scored his most high-profile movie role to date after joining the cast of the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.
The Curb Your Enthusiasm comedian will reportedly play a lead role in the new Marvel film, for which Tom Holland will reprise his role as the web-slinging superhero.
Smoove has since shared his excitement at starting work on the project, which began production in London last week (begs02Jul18).
“Thank you guys for all the love!!!,” he posted on Twitter. “This is gonna be fun! #marveluniverse #SpiderManFarFromHome”.
Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly set to be another new face in the movie, portraying the villain Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio, although his casting has yet to be confirmed.
Jon Watts will be back as director of Spider-Man: Far from Home, while Holland’s Homecoming co-stars Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, and Zendaya are all expected to return, too.
The film is set for release in July, 2019.
