Jack Daniel’s Motorhead bourbon sell out in days

A new Jack Daniel’s special edition dedicated to the memory of bourbon fan Lemmy has sold out.
All 288 bottles of the single-barrel Motorhead whiskey have been snapped up by fans of the heavy rocker, who died on 28 December (15).
Launching the bourbon last week (ends08Jan16), Jack Daniel’s bosses explained they were offering bourbon fans an opportunity to sip from what was “once a privileged reserve only for the Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller – exploring the nuances of whiskey from a single barrel.”
But fans who missed out on buying one of the $99 (£66) bottles can still toast the late Motorhead frontman by simply ordering a Jack Daniel’s and Coke – Lemmy’s favourite tipple for decades.
A fan recently launched an online petition to officially rename the drink the ‘Lemmy’ in bars and pubs across the world. At press time the petition had gathered over 44,000 signatures.
