James Pickens, Jr. opening restaurant in Hollywood

Veteran actor JAMES PICKENS, JR. and his wife have joined the celebrity restaurateurs club after announcing plans to open a Southern-style eatery in North Hollywood.
The Grey’s Anatomy star has been helping his wife of 31 years, former singer Gina Taylor, realise her culinary dreams by supporting her restaurant plans, and the 60 year old gave the ladies of U.S. talk show The View a taste of what to expect on Thursday (14May15) as he served up slices of the couple’s buttermilk pie to co-presenter Rosie Perez and guest panellists including model and new mum Molly Sims and actress Raven-Symone.
He explained, “My wife is starting a restaurant, it’s called Forks ‘N the Road, in North Hollywood, and she’s introducing little-known and authentic Southern recipes. It’s an incredible twist on home cooking and Southern style cooking.”
The venue is expected to open later this year (15), when Pickens, Jr. will join the likes of fellow celebrity restaurateurs Eva Longoria, Justin Timberlake and Robert De Niro.
