John Heard died after suffering heart attack

Home Alone dad John Heard died after suffering a heart attack, according to his autopsy.
The actor was recovering from minor back surgery in a Palo Alto, California hotel when he died, aged 71, on 21 July (17).
Now authorities at the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office have ruled Heard suffered a “sudden cardiac death due to atheroscerotic and hypertensive heart disease”.
He had undergone surgery two days before his death at Stanford Medical Center, but officials insist the operation was not a factor in his demise, according to TMZ.
A toxicology report is still pending.
Heard was laid to rest alongside his 22-year-old son Max at the Lady Of Hope Church in Ipswich, Massachusetts on Saturday (12Aug17).
His son died following an overdose in December (16).
Heard played Macauley Culkin’s father in the first two Home Alone movies.
