Besties Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett to Record Duet Album

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett Recording New Album Together

Tony Bennett is not ashamed to admit that he is a Little Monster. The legendary 86-year-old jazz crooner has sketched the sixty-years-his-junior “Born This Way” diva nude. He’s called her “America’s Picasso.” And they even recorded a brassy duet together of “The Lady Is a Tramp” for his acclaimed, Grammy-winning 2011 album Duets II.

But it seems their collaboration is just beginning. Bennett told the Associated Press that Gaga’s agreed to record a full-length, “big swing album” with him. When this will be recorded, let alone when it will be released, is very much up in the air. Gaga recently underwent hip surgery, forcing the cancellation of much of the North American leg of her Born This Way Ball tour. But Bennett claims they “have it all worked out already on paper.”

One thing is certain: his enthusiasm for Her Ladyship has in no way dimmed. He went on to praise her business acumen and call her a “wonderful person and a great talent.”
