Liev Schreiber and his furry friends become new PETA pin-ups

Actor Liev Schreiber is fronting a new PETA campaign for pet adoption after taking in two dogs displaced by Hurricane Harvey last year (17).
The Spotlight star decided to become a dog daddy in September (17) after meeting brother-and-sister duo Woody and Willow while backstage at talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan.
The pups had been part of a group of canines brought into the New York studio from Texas by officials at the Home For Good Dog Rescue organisation, as they tried to raise awareness of animals left homeless by the state’s devastating natural disaster.
Liev has since been inspired to work with activists at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to encourage others to consider pet adoption, too.
A new ad, featuring a series of photos of the actor snuggling his new furry friends, reads: “Adopt! Once You Do, You Won’t Be Able to Picture Your Life Without Them!”
In a press release, Schreiber says, “Animal shelters across the country are flooded with dogs just like Woody and Willow. It’s hard knowing that so many are still waiting for their forever home. The good folks at PETA and I encourage you to find your own perfect match and save a life (or two!) by adopting.”
