Lucasfilm attorneys filed a federal lawsuit on Thursday (09Apr10) against the owners of EZ2FLY, claiming their remote-controlled toy RCX4-Star Stryker is a copy of the popular Star Wars X-wing fighter.
The suit also accuses EZ2FLY bosses of using the space franchise’s theme music to promote the product, reports TMZ.com.
Bosses at the Lucasfilm firm, founded and chaired by the moviemaker, are seeking unspecified damages in the copyright and trademark infringement suit.
