Madonna‘s concert in the south of France on Saturday has been cancelled after a worker was crushed to death building the stage.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon at Marseilles Stade Velodrome, where Madonna was due to perform over the weekend.
A number of technicians were working under the stage and were crushed when it collapsed.
Authorities in the city have confirmed that one person has died, while six others are currently being treated for their injuries.
The whole area was barricaded after the accident, and WENN’s sources have confirmed the singer’s performance in the city has been scrapped.
