Max Landis dropped by managers following sexual misconduct allegations

Writer and director Max Landis has been dropped by his management team following a series of sexual misconduct allegations.
Eight women have come forward with claims against the Bright screenwriter in an expose for The Daily Beast, claiming the son of filmmaker John Landis is a master manipulator, who abused them, and now Landis has been let go by Write Large Management officials.
Executive Britton Rizzio confirmed the news in a statement to The Wrap.
Meanwhile, Josh Trank, who directed the film Chronicle, which was written by Landis, has offered his support to the women who have come forward, revealing he has severed his professional relationship with the accused.
“I 100% believe every word of this article about Max. I banned him from visiting principal photography of Chronicle, and I haven’t spoken to him since 2012,” Trank tweeted on Tuesday (18Jun19). “To read about the terror he’s inflicted on so many women since then makes me sick to my stomach. Heartbroken beyond measure.”
Among the accusers is a woman named Julie, who maintains she dated Landis for two years, during which time he reportedly sexually assaulted her, and Ani Baker, who recently took to Twitter to warn people to steer clear of the filmmaker.
Landis has yet to comment on the accusations.
