Elsie Poncher put her husband’s crypt up for sale on auction website eBay.com in August (09), and quickly attracted bids over the $4 million (£2.6 million) mark.
Poncher – whose husband Richard has been buried in the plot for 23 years – finally accepted a bid from a Japanese buyer who pledged a staggering $4.6 million (£2.9 million) offer.
However, the unknown bidder quickly dropped out.

And after failing to entice other high bidders to purchase the crypt, Poncher has put the site back on eBay – but is demanding up to a five per cent deposit before accepting any further bids.
The online auction will end on 29 Oct (09).
