Pierce Brosnan‘s daughter Charlotte passed away at the age of 41 after a strenuous battle with ovarian cancer. After fighting ovarian cancer for three years, Charlotte died on June 28th, Brosnan confirmed to People. Charlotte’s mother also suffered from ovarian cancer and died in 1991.
In a statement to People, Brosnan shared, “On June 28 at 2 p.m. my darling daughter Charlotte Emily passed on to eternal life having succumbed to ovarian cancer.”
Brosnan then goes on to disclose that she was surrounded by her loved ones such as her husband Alex Smith, her children Isabella and Lucas, and her brothers Christopher and Sean during her final days.
“Charlotte fought cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be at hand soon,” Brosnan said. The former James Bond then went on to give thanks for everyone’s “heartfelt gratitude.”
