The actor played a blind man in the 2006 romantic comedy and he researched the role by keeping his eyes shut in Sin City, impressing Seymour with his commitment to his craft.
She explains, “He’s a great actor – he really studied how to play this kid who was blind. He went to Las Vegas on the way to where we were shooting in Utah and he actually pretended to be blind for about three days. People wouldn’t actually talk to him directly. It was really bizarre.”
