Rosanne Cash among Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees

ROSANNE CASH, MARK JAMES, CRAIG WISEMAN and EVEN STEVENS are set to be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
The four musicians will be feted by officials at the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) at the Music City Center in the Tennessee capital in October (15).
Pat Alger, Chairman of the NSAI Board of Directors, praise the Class of 2015 in a statement which reads: “Nashville remains the primary destination for anyone with an appreciation of songwriters and the art of songwriting. Since 1970, the legacy of those great songwriters has been celebrated and preserved by the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Each year, only a few are elected to this high honor, and this year, we are proud to welcome the class of 2015.”
Johnny Cash’s eldest daughter will be inducted in the songwriter/artist category, thanks to her albums including last year’s (14) chart-topping record, The River & the Thread, and her self-penned tracks such as Blue Moon With Heartache and Hold On.
James and Wiseman will be honoured in the songwriter category, in recognition of James’ work with artists such as Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson, while Wiseman is set to be feted for his work with country superstars such as Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney and Chris Young.
Stevens is the inductee in the veteran songwriter category, as he’s responsible for penning tunes by Kenny Rogers, Eddie Rabbitt and Conway Twitty.
