Some people just get more exceptional with time, as is the case with One Tree Hill alum and current Chicago PD actress Sophia Bush. Recently, Bush stopped by HuffPost Live to chat about feminism, abortion rights and Hilary Clinton’s bid for the White House. It’s still baffling to us that in 2016, being a feminist would be controversial to anyone, but the 33-year-old actress isn’t afraid of the label at all.  In fact, Bush, who has been steadfast about empowering women, gave an amazingly succinct definition about feminism during her chat. She said, “It’s so not complicated… I watch everybody fight over whether it’s appropriate to be a feminist or not. And I sit here thinking, well, I’m a woman. I would like to be judged on the quality of my work, I would like to be compensated fairly for my work. I would like to have just as much access to healthcare as any man. Yeah, that’s pretty much it. I don’t know what the big fight is all about.”

For those who were still confused, she took it even further by saying, “Believing in my right to live as well and as well-protected in the world as a man, doesn’t mean I hate men.” Bush went on to share her thoughts about Hillary Clinton potentially becoming our first female President, why the United States doesn’t have a Women’s History Museum and reproductive rights.
