Stevie Nicks makes TikTok debut in nod to viral challenge as Dreams returns to Hot 100

Stevie Nicks made her debut on video-sharing site TikTok on Tuesday (October 13, 2020) after a viral challenge on the site sent her classic Fleetwood Mac hit Dreams back into the U.S. charts.

Over the past few weeks, a video created by TikTok user Nathan Apodaca (@420doggface208) and captioned “morning vibes” has been one of the most popular clips on the site. It features Dreams as the soundtrack to footage of him skateboarding while drinking Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice.

Days after drummer Mick Fleetwood joined the platform to recreate the video, Stevie shared her first TikTok video, showing her seated at a piano as she laces up a pair of roller skates. She sings along to the Rumours hit as it plays on a turntable beside her – positioned next to a bottle of the drink.

“Afternoon vibe,” she captioned the clip, which she also shared on Twitter. “Lace ’em up!” The I Can’t Wait star added the hashtags “#Dreams #FleetwoodMac #CranberryDreams” and tagged Nathan in her post.

Since his video went viral, Dreams has been climbing the charts and currently sits at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 – its first re-entry since its initial 1977 chart-topping run.

Mick previously thanked Nathan for his clip during an appearance on BBC World News America, gushing: “I just wanna say, outside of Fleetwood Mac, we owe you.

“It’s such a great story, and it’s so needed. In days that are really challenging… it makes people smile, and I’m so happy to be part of it. Congratulations on a wild, wild skateboard journey that has led us to talking today.”
