The Daily Shuffle: Matt Damon Says Angelina and Brad Are Prisoners

matt damonIn what must be an attempt to get us to stop caring about his close friends Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Matt Damon appealed to our heartstrings by saying that the two of them are like prisoners of the world because they can’t go anywhere without being followed. He said, “I have friends who are like prisoners, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident.” And Damon’s very happy that that’s not his life: “Ever since I found my wife and we had children, my whole life revolves around that. I’m really lucky… I do the work that I love and need, but don’t need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door.” So how are we doing now — has our desire for the thrills and chills of Brangelina subsided from this soft-spoken plea from Good Will Hunting? – x17

Joss Stone really seems to be fine with the fact that she exists in a world where two people genuinely want to kill her. She said, “People are crazy and maybe they need a hug? Or a spliff? I don’t know…they need something. It’s very rude and uncouth…like, “Come on, can’t you do something better to do with your Tuesday? It’s very, very weird.” Yeah, I agree. It’s very very weird when someone doesn’t realize that they’d rather kill someone than buy strawberries that are on sale. – Contact Music

People magazine is reporting that the reason Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony‘s marriage ended was because they’d been arguing nonstop for months. The reporter said he spoke to a source close to the family, who reported that “There were issues on a movie set, envy on the American Idol stage, and times that Lopez felt her husband wasn’t faithful.” Someone who’s going to choose Anthony once the couple’s friends start dividing said Lopez and Anthony “started to see life differently” and that “though they love, admire and respect each other very much, they just needed to be apart.” – People
