Who Said It: The Pope… or ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’?

fifty pope

Pope Benedict XVI may have left the Vatican for good, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t leaving a legacy behind. And by legacy we mean this spectacular farewell digital scrapbook. (Who knew the Pope was so proficient with iPhoto on his 1999 Apple iBook?) From its use of the heavenly Papyrus font to those tasteful selfies, this Popebook is everything you’d want and hope for. The only thing missing is this jingle playing every time you turn the page.

Something struck us as we flipped through all 62 (!!) pages of Benny’s book. No, not that he forgot to wish us  an awesome summer. (C’mon man, haven’t you signed a yearbook before?!) But that the language sounded, well, awfully similar to E.L. James‘ wildly popular BDSM-inspired series Fifty Shades of Grey. Don’t believe? Take our sacrilegious “Who Said It: The Pope or Fifty Shades of Grey?” quiz to find out if you can tell the difference between waxing poetic about Christian Grey and Christianity.
