Usher Prays for 11-Year-Old Stepson in Critical Condition After Horrific Boat Crash

Usher SonUpdate:  Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources is currently investigating the incident. While charges are still pending, the individual involved in the crash has been named.

“On 07/06/12, at approximately 1525 hours, a personal watercraft being operated by Jeffrey S. Hubbard [who is reportedly a family friend] ran over 2 juveniles being towed on an inner tube by a pontoon boat,” the incident report obtained by Hollywood.com reads. “Both children were life-flighted to Egleston Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, one with a serious head injury. This incident occurred in the mouth of Big Creek, Lake Lanier, Hall County.”

TMZ is reporting that Usher’s stepson is brain dead.

Original story: R&B singer Usher is praying today for his 11-year-old stepson, Kyle Glover, who is in critical condition in an Atlanta hospital after a horrific boat collision.

Glover, who is the son of his estranged wife Tameka Foster, remains unresponsive, according to TMZ. The boy, and a 15-year-old girl were reportedly being pulled by a boat in inner tubes when a man on a jet ski collided with them. Glover was hit in the head and the two victims were air-lifted to the hospital.

Usher’s nasty divorce and custody battle with Foster (he’s pictured, left, with one of their young sons) has made headlines but despite their very public troubles, the superstar reportedly chartered a plane for his ex to be by Glover’s side.

Now, the Grammy-winner’s celebrity friends are voicing their support and asking for prayers on Twitter. As Fantasia Barrino tweeted: “”Everyone PLEASE pray for Usher and Tameka’s son! This is the time they really need your prayers!”
