WATCH: Bittersweet Video Of The Late Heath Ledger

It’s been seven years since Heath Ledger passed away, and though we remember him for his stunning talent in films like The Dark Knight and Brokeback Mountain, a newly resurfaced video from the 2006 Australian Film Institute Awards reminds us that Ledger was not only an incredible talent, he also had an amazing spirit and sense of humor.
In the video, Australian actress Magda Szubanski accosts Ledger on the red carpet before the award show dressed as her character from the Australian TV show Kath & Kim. Ledger goes along with the joke brilliantly, even when it continues later during the actual awards show.

The clip continues showing Daniel Radcliffe presenting Ledger with the Best International Actor award for his role in Brokeback Mountain. In his touching thank you speech he says, “The best thing I got out of it was, you know, my two girls,” (referring to actress Michelle Williams and their daughter, Matilda.) He went on to joke, “I made out with Jake Gyllenhaal and now I’ve got a daughter.”
