Akon

Not content with inflicting his libidinous R&B on the Western world, Akon then jumped on the Bollywood bandwagon in 2011 when he wrote and contributed vocals to two tracks (“Chammak Challo”, “Criminal”) for the science fiction superhero flick Ra. One.

Kylie Minogue

Showing off the derriere which has become almost as famous as her slick brand of pure pop over the last 25 years, Kylie Minogue was reportedly paid $1million to perform “Chiggy Wiggy” alongside Akshay Kumar in 2009’s underwater action thriller, Blue.

Snoop Dogg

Always willing to experiment, hip-hop’s premier weed advocate became the first mainstream U.S. artist to appear on a Bollywood soundtrack when he contributed on the title track to action comedy Singh Is Kinng.

Ludacris

Following in the footsteps of his one-time collaborator Snoop, Ludacris then got in on the action in 2011 when he teamed up with British bhangra trio RDB for “Shera Di Kaum,” the opening number of the soundtrack to cross-cultural hockey drama, Breakaway.
