Cecilia Hart, wife of James Earl Jones, dies age 68

Actress Cecilia Hart, wife of James Earl Jones, has died at the age of 68.
Hart passed away on 16 October (16) after a one-year battle with ovarian cancer, People.com reports.
She and Jones met on the set of the Steven Bochco police drama series Paris in 1979, and later starred opposite each other in the Broadway production of William Shakespeare’s Othello in 1982.
The couple, who played Desdemona and Othello in the play, were married in March of that year. They have one son together, Flynn Earl Jones.
Hart’s Broadway credits include The Heiress in 1976, and Design for Living in 1984. She was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performance in Tom Stoppard’s 1977 play Dirty Linen & New-Found-Land.
She also had a series of TV roles, with guest appearances on Three’s Company, Quincy M.E., Charles in Charge, MacGyver and Law & Order.
The couple was last seen together at the Tony Awards in June (16).
Hart is survived by her husband, son Flynn and her brothers, James and William. The family requests donations in Hart’s name be made to The Actors Fund or Hudson Valley Hospice.
