Gary Glitter appeals against sex abuse conviction

Disgraced glam rock icon GARY GLITTER has lodged an appeal against his conviction for a string of sex attacks.
The 71 year old was sentenced to 16 years in prison in February (15) after he was found guilty of attempted rape, four counts of indecent assault, and one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.
Lawyers for Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, lodged paperwork with London’s Court of Appeal on Monday (15May15) in a bid to overturn his conviction.
A spokesman for the court said it is not known which counts Glitter is challenging.
