Rick Astley finds it hilarious to deface his dressing room name tag

Rick Astley loves defacing the name tag on his dressing room door when he plays at festivals.
The Never Gonna Give You Up star has been a regular fixture on the festival circuit in recent years, thanks to the renewed popularity of his music. In a chat with NME.com, Rick took part in the Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?! quiz, where an artist is quizzed about their career to see how much they can remember. For the first question, the website asked Rick: “According to Noel Gallagher, what do you scribble under your ‘RICK ASTLEY’ dressing room door name sign at festivals?”
Breaking down into laughter, Rick replied: “How do you know that? F**king hell! What I tend to do is I go around writing things under my own name because I think it’s funny, like ‘RICK ASTLEY….is a t*t’ or whatever. Take your pick – there’s about five of them.”
However, according to former Oasis rocker Noel, Rick choose to write “is s**t” under his name at a gig they played together.
“It was at the re-opening of Manchester Arena, which we were both playing. He told me that he’d got a b****cking. The security guards came into his band’s dressing room and said, ‘Right you f**kers, who did this? That’s bullying!’, and I just had to explain ‘no, no, no – it was me’,” Rick laughed. “There’s certain ‘80s people like Kim Wilde that I’m friendly enough with to write it under their name as well. We take the p**s out of each other all the time.”
