Trick Daddy and Trina reunite for joint album

Rapper Trick Daddy is heading back into the studio with his longtime collaborator Trina for their first full-length project together.
The Florida natives announced the news earlier this week (begs06Mar17), revealing they are both returning to Slip-N-Slide Records, the label which made them famous, for the joint album.
“Me and Trina signed a deal for a Trick & Trina collabo album (sic),” Trick Daddy told Mass Appeal. “So we bringing the city back (sic). I just want this Trick & Trina record to be classic.”
“(The collaboration album is) just something the fans always wanted, and now we’re officially going to make it happen,” Slip-N-Slide CEO Ted Lucas said. “Trick put Miami on the map with gangsta music, which was different from all perspectives. When Miami was known for booty shaking, Trick was able to change the culture of what people thought about of Miami music, and Trina was able to put female rappers on the map. We’re excited about it, and looking forward to it.”
The new material will mark Trick Daddy’s first album since 2009’s Finally Famous: Born a Thug, Still a Thug, while Trina has also been taking it easy in recent years, with her last full-length release coming in 2010 with Amazin’.
The old friends first teamed up on Trick’s 1998 single Nann N**ga, and went on to record tracks like Down Wit Da South, and Take It to Da House, among others.
