Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress Nanette Fabray has died, aged 97.
The star, who also appeared on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and One Day at a Time in the 1970s, passed away at her Palos Verdes, California home on Thursday (22Feb18).
She won her Tony for Love Life at the age 28 and went on to land rave reviews for roles in stage shows like High Button Shoes, Jackpot, and Arms and the Girl.
She also picked up two Emmys in the 1950s for her role in Caesar’s Hour and fronted her own 1961 sitcom, The Nanette Fabray Show.
Her success on the stage and small screen didn’t translate to the movies and she only had one hit film – 1953’s The Band Wagon.
Her TV credits also include Coach, The Carol Burnett Show and Maude.
