American Vandal is Netflix’s most binge-watched show of 2017

True-crime satire American Vandal has been unveiled as 2017’s most binge-watched show on streaming service Netflix.
Company officials analysed the average daily viewing hours per user from the year until November (17) to determine their Shows We Devoured end-of-year list, with the mockumentary series coming out on top, having been viewed more than two hours a day.
American Vandal, starring actor Jimmy Tatro, beat Brazilian dystopian thriller 3% and 13 Reasons Why to land at number one, while Riverdale, The Keepers, and The OA also made the top 10.
Meanwhile, British royal drama The Crown has been named the leader of the Shows We Savored poll, with viewers spending less than two hours a day consistently watching the programme.
Animated shows Big Mouth and Neo Yokio placed second and third, respectively, ahead of A Series of Unfortunate Events and Golden Globe-nominated female wrestling series Glow, which rounded out the top five.
Other popular Netflix picks included drug drama Narcos, which was declared the show most people watched ahead of their significant others, and sci-fi hit Stranger Things was named the series most considered a family affair.
The newly-released statistics, collected from a survey of 60,000 viewers, representing adults in 32 countries, also revealed one Netflix customer had watched 2003 movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 365 days in a row, while New Year’s Day proved to be the most popular streaming day of the 12-month period.
