Ashley Graham: ‘My team would not have let me shoot awful Pepsi ad’

Model Ashley Graham has taken a subtle swipe at Kendall Jenner’s managers, insisting her team would not have allowed her to make the ill-advised Pepsi commercial, which was pulled earlier this year (17).
Pepsi bosses pulled the now-infamous ad, in which Kendall abandoned a modelling shoot to join a street protest and hand a police officer on duty a soda, after a string of complaints suggesting the promo was insensitive to the Black Lives Matter movement and other activist groups.
And now Ashley has taken aim at the people behind Jenner for agreeing to let her take part in the first place.
“My team probably would have nipped it in the bud before anything happened,” the 29-year-old explained during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Sunday (25Jun17). “It’s unfortunate that that happened, but hey, she’s moving forward.”
Kendall’s dream Pepsi ad was yanked one day after its debut. Sources told Us Weekly at the time that Jenner felt “horrible” about being part of the controversy, and big sister Kim Kardashian told Cohen on 28 May (17) that Kendall “felt really awful”, adding, “She just wants to move on from it.”
