Avicii’s representative denies posthumous album on the way

Tragic DJ Avicii’s representative has dismissed reports a posthumous album is on the way.
The electronic dance music superstar, real name Tim Bergling, died in Oman last month (Apr18) and according to his representative he was working on new music at the time of his passing. However, the rep insists the unfinished music has no release date and insists a report published in Swedish publication Aftonbladet was mistranslated and circulated, according to Billboard.
“Tim had been working on new material and had posted nine-ish photos and Instagram stories about his sessions this year,” Diana Baron says. “As of this moment, these stories about a scheduled release are just rumours coming from hopeful fans who loved Tim and his music.”
Avicii’s cause of death has yet to be released, but his family members have announced plans to hold a private funeral for the Swedish DJ.
“The Bergling family has now confirmed that the funeral will be private, in the presence of the people who were closest to Tim. They kindly ask media to respect this. There is no additional information forthcoming,” a statement reads.
