Thousands of Batman fans gathered outside Los Angeles City Hall on Thursday night (15Jun17) to pay tribute to late actor Adam West.
West, who played the Caped Crusader on TV in the mid to late 1960s, lost his battle with leukemia on 9 June (17), and to honor the late star, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti projected the iconic Bat-Signal into the L.A. skyline on Thursday night.
The massive bat symbol was also projected onto the side of City Hall for several hours.
Among the fans saluting West was Burt Ward, the actor who portrayed Batman’s sidekick Robin in the 1960s TV series.
