Billie Eilish: ‘You can be anything at all’

Billie Eilish signed up to front Mcm’s new collection because she likes the label’s gender-neutral message that people can be “anything at all”.
The 17-year-old rose to international fame with the release of chart-topping debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, earlier this year (19), and she is already making an impact on the fashion world with her androgynous sense of style.
Her collaboration with German leather goods brand MCM is the latest sign that her fashion star is continuing to rise, and Billie explained her reasons for teaming up with the company in an email statement to Women’s Wear Daily.
Speaking of the unisex feel of the campaign images, the teenager mused: “You don’t have to be a boy. You don’t have to be a girl. You don’t have to wear something specific to that title. You know, you can be anything at all.”
The campaign was shot by South African photographer Lea Colombo and also features hip-hop artist Childish Major.
