Bomb threat blamed for abrupt end to Rascal Flatts concert

A bomb threat has been unveiled as the reason country stars Rascal Flatts had to abruptly end a concert in Indianapolis, Indiana last week.
Fans were left baffled last Thursday (09Aug18) when the Life Is a Highway singers abandoned plans for an encore at the end of their gig at the Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center, which was promptly evacuated, with officials simply citing a “security concern”.
No further information was released at the time, but now local authorities have revealed they are still investigating a bomb threat which posed a “credible danger” to the public.
Sheriff Mark Bowen did not explain how the threat came to light, but insisted officers took “appropriate action” by clearing out the venue.
No arrests have been made over the incident.
After cutting short Thursday’s show, Rascal Flatts took to social media to address the situation.
“Indianapolis – Due to a security concern at the show last night, standard procedures were quickly executed and everyone was able to safely leave the building,” read a message posted on their Facebook page on Friday.
“The safety of our fans, band and crew is always the top priority for us, so we are so thankful for everyone who jumped into action and for your understanding. We will be back soon!”
