Brian Wilson has failing Surfin’ school grade revised

Beach Boys star Brian Wilson has finally had his failing grade for the high school music project which became hit song Surfin’ transformed into an A.
The singer submitted an early version of the track as part of a homework assignment back in the 1950s, when he was a student at Hawthorne High School in California.
At the time, his music teacher, Fred Morgan, was unimpressed by the effort and handed the young Brian an F, but more than five decades later, Wilson has finally earned his A grade.
On Monday (15Jan18), the 75-year-old returned to his alma mater, where the current principal, Dr. Vanessa Landesfeind, officially revised the grade.
School officials shared a photo of the pair on Twitter, and captioned it, “Guess who dropped by HHS to appeal that grade Fred Morgan gave to him? Dr. Landesfeind signed the grade change! Brian Wilson now has an A on that assignment!”
The same snap was also posted on Wilson’s official Twitter page, where a representative quoted Morgan and wrote, “Brian wrote a composition for me and it turned out to be ‘Surfin.’ That composition got an F, but it made a million dollars.”
The caption continued, “Brian’s failing grade has now been changed to an A on this assignment by Dr. Landesfeind!”
