Brigitte Nielsen replacing Mark Salling in Gods and Secrets

Hollywood veteran Brigitte Nielsen has stepped in to replace disgraced actor Mark Salling in upcoming series Adi Shankar’s Gods And Secrets following his child porn indictment.
Salling, known for his role as Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman on Glee, was arrested in December, 2015, when police raided his Sunland, California home and allegedly seized “thousands” of lewd images featuring minors.
Director Adi Shankar initially insisted he would stand by the actor following the accusations, but five months later, he had reportedly changed his mind and was looking to recast the role.
Shankar has since reworked the TV superhero thriller’s storyline, and he has hired Rocky IV actress Nielsen to play a “modified version” of Salling’s character.
Shankar reshot scenes with the Danish star earlier this month (Jul17), and reveals that bringing other cast members back wasn’t an easy task.
“The planning alone was ridiculous,” he tells Variety.com. “It was going to make me pull my hair out.”
The project, which also stars Kellan Lutz, Denise Richards, and Jane Seymour, is now in post-production, although a distributor for the half-hour show and projected launch date has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Salling remains free on $20,000 (£15,300) bail as he awaits trial. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He faces up to 20 years in prison for receiving child pornography and 20 years for possessing it.
