Bruce Dickinson to publish memoir

Iron Maiden rocker Bruce Dickinson is to release a memoir detailing his extraordinary life.
In addition to fronting the legendary metal band, the 58-year-old, who rarely gives interviews, is a qualified pilot who has run his own airline, has written film scripts and has competed against Olympic level fencers.
The book, titled What Does This Button Do?, is to be released on 19 October (17), executives at publisher HarperCollins have announced.
A press release from the publisher posted on the Iron Maiden website described the memoir as, “Bold, honest, intelligent and very entertaining” and said it will be “the long-awaited window into the life, heart and mind of one of our most adventurous and multifaceted sons.”
Bruce has battled tongue cancer and in 2015 underwent radiation and chemotherapy treatment. He has since made a full recovery.
Since releasing their self-titled debut album in 1970, Iron Maiden have had 14 U.K. top ten album and have become one of rock’s most beloved live acts.
