Candice Bergen back for more Murphy Brown as TV revival gets picked up

Murphy Brown is set to become the latest U.S. TV classic to return to the small screen.
Hot on the heels of Full House, Will & Grace, and Roseanne, the show, featuring Candice Bergen, is making its way back to television, according to new reports.
CBS network bosses have snapped up a 13-episode run of the show, with creator Diane English and Bergen both on board.
The actress, who recently played Reese Witherspoon’s mum in Home Again, portrayed an investigative journalist and TV anchor in the original show.
Sources tell Deadline her castmates are being approached to reprise their roles.
Murphy Brown ran from 1988 to 1998, picking up two Best TV Comedy Emmys and five Emmys for Bergen.
