Carnie Wilson and Rosie O’Donnell lead tributes to Natalie Cole

Carnie Wilson and Rosie O’Donnell have paid tribute to singer Natalie Cole upon hearing of her New Year’s Eve (31Dec15) death in a Los Angeles hospital.
Cole lost her battle with poor health at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She was 65.
Wilson Phillips star Carnie took to Twitter on New Year’s Day (01Jan16) and wrote, “Song for the day: ‘Everlasting Love’ by the one and only Natalie Cole RIP.”
Actress and TV personality O’Donnell posted a link to Natalie performing Miss You LIke Crazy in Japan, and added the caption: “We will miss her like crazy.”
There were also social media tributes from Montell Williams, Jordin Sparks, Chance The Rapper, Emmy Rossum, Keith Sweat, Arsenio Hall, Leann Rimes, Cher, Patti LaBelle, Kristin Chenoweth, songwriter Diane Warren, and Reverend Jesse Jackson, who wrote, “#NatalieCole, sister beloved & of substance and sound. May her soul rest in peace.”
Tony Bennett also offered his heartfelt thoughts about Cole, posting a photo of the two singers together on Instagram, and adding the caption: “I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Natalie Cole, as I have cherished the long friendship I had with her, her father Nat, and the family over the years. Natalie was an exceptional jazz singer and it was an honor to have recorded and performed with her on several occasions. She was a lovely and generous person who will be greatly missed.”
