Chance The Rapper puts ‘everything on hold’ to finish debut album

Chance The Rapper has updated fans on the progress of his long-awaited debut album, revealing that he has put the rest of his life on hold to finish it.

Back in February (19), the star announced that his first LP was set to drop in July, and on Wednesday (10Apr) he took to Instagram to share his progress.

Posting a picture of a refrigerator filled with bottles of Simply Lemonade, the No Problem hitmaker wrote: “I’ve been really happy the past few weeks. My wife gave me the go ahead to put everything else on hold and really go to work on my debut album.”

Chance, real name Chancelor Jonathan Bennett, also confessed that he believes music is his true calling.

“Somehow I always forget that I’m so, so good at this. And every night i (sic) surprise myself again,” the 25-year-old shared.

Chance, who has three-year-old daughter Kensli with wife Kirsten Corley and another baby on the way, went on to thank his family for all of their support.

“It’s been a lil hard at times, but there truly is no joy like making a project,” he gushed. “Y’all should thank Kirsten cause she don’t gotta share me wit NOBODY. Babe I have to appreciate u supporting me all these years and I swear I can’t wait to get juked on to these new songs (sic).”

He wrapped up the post with three emojis: a peach, a dancing brunette woman and a horned devil.
