Corey Feldman sets the record straight after weekend ‘arrest’

Corey Feldman has insisted he wasn’t arrested on Saturday (21Oct17) and the police stopping his tour bus was part of a “good ol’ shakedown”.
It was reported over the weekend that the former child actor and his Corey Feldman & The Angels bandmates were pulled over by cops in Los Angeles for speeding while on their way to a gig at the Live Oak’s Bar and Ballroom in Monroe, Louisiana.
According to law enforcement, Feldman’s driver’s license was suspended, and officers found a small amount of marijuana while searching the vehicle. TMZ.com reported that the 46-year-old was arrested and taken to the Richland Parish jail, but was released after paying a small fine for speeding and marijuana possession. Other members of his band were also said to have been booked on unspecified drug charges.
However, The Goonies star Corey took to Twitter on Sunday to set the record straight over the incident, writing: “4 THE RECORD, I WAS NOT ARRESTED OR PUT IN JAIL (sic).”
“I RECEIVED A MISDEMEANOR IN LOUISIANA, DUE 2 A MEMBER OF MY CREW HAVING MEDICAL MARIJUANA, WITH A LEGAL CA PRESCRIPTION, I HAD NOTHING ON ME, BUT WAS CHARGED BECAUSE ITS MY BUS,” he continued. “ALSO 5 OTHERS WERE CHARGED DUE 2 HAVING LEGAL MEDICINES WITHOUT THEIR PARTICULAR BOTTLES.
“NO ILLEGAL OR STREET DRUGS WERE FOUND ON THE BUS AT ALL! WHICH IS Y NOBODY SPENT THE NIGHT IN JAIL. HOWEVER WE WERE PROMISED THAT THESE CHARGES COULD ALL B DROPPED WITH PROOF OF PROPER SCRIPTS!”
Corey continued his rant to state that after they “paid” the officers “in cash”, “THEY ASKED 4 PICS & AUTOGRAPHS, & THEN CALLED THE LOCAL PAPER 2 DO INTERVIEWS!”, adding that the situation “WAS A BIT OF A GOOD OL SHAKEDOWN!”
