David Bowie did not collaborate on Frank Ocean album

Frank Ocean has left David Bowie fans perplexed after crediting the late rock icon on his new album Blonde.
Frank released his long-awaited second album exclusively on Apple Music on Saturday (20Aug16), and mentioned the Let’s Dance singer among the people involved.
Bowie’s representative initially declined to comment on the British rocker’s links to Ocean when the album dropped, but he later confirmed to NME.com the music icon and the R&B star “did not work together”.
The singer has yet to comment, but it is believed Bowie was mentioned as an influence rather than collaborator.
Bowie, who lost his battle with cancer in January (16), was credited by Ocean on Blonde, alongside such famous names as Kanye West, Jamie xx, The Beatles, Brian Eno, Pharrell Williams, Elliott Smith, and Tyler The Creator.
It is not clear what role the musicians played in the making of Ocean’s record. However, lyrics from Elliott Smith’s A Fond Farewell feature in the track Siegfried, and The Beatles’ Here, There, and Everywhere is quoted in White Ferrari, NME.com reports.
