Drake shows off giant new owl chest tattoo

Drake has showed off a giant new owl chest tattoo in a shirtless selfie.
The God’s Plan star is no stranger to body art and among his current collection of tattoos is an inking of a flower on his right shoulder, a portrait of singer Sade on his torso, and a depiction of a lion on his left forearm.
Now, Drake has taken to his Instagram Stories to upload a mirror selfie in order to unveil the full owl design, which extends across his entire chest.
The Canadian rapper did not tag his tattoo artist in the snap, though he did later share a short video to his Instagram page showing him rapping along to a track from Smiley’s A Tape to Remember while standing in a swimming pool.
“Last week I had nothing…,” he captioned the clip, referring to a lyric in the song.
A number of fans took to social media to note that the tattoo looked pretty fresh, with one with follower writing on Twitter, “I didn’t know drake had an owl chest piece nice tho (sic),” while another added: “Dude drake I just want a clear view of the owl.”
While Drake is yet to share any other details about his brand new tattoo, an owl is perhaps an obvious choice considering that the bird is the symbol for OVO Sound, the Toronto-based label he founded alongside Oliver El-Khatib and Noah “40” Shebib in 2012.
Among Drake’s other tattoos is an etching of late star Aaliyah’s face on his back, a tribute to his friend Anthony “Fif” Soares, who was tragically killed in 2017, as well as a portrait of actor Denzel Washington in character as trumpet player Bleek Gilliam in Spike Lee’s 1990 movie Mo’ Better Blues. The tattoo was completed by artist Inal Bersekov, with the Oscar-winning actor praising the art during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in November 2017.
“Now you got me wondering where is that (on his body),” Denzel smiled. “That’s crazy. But I think he got some other people he admires.”
