Ed Sheeran reclaims top spot in U.K. albums chart

Ed Sheeran has reclaimed the top spot on the U.K. albums chart with his star-studded collection of collaborations.
The British singer-songwriter’s latest record, No.6 Collaborations Project, topped the countdown for four weeks before Slipknot’s latest album debuted at number one last Friday (16Aug19), but Ed’s album has returned to the summit on this week’s Official Charts Company list.
Lewis Capaldi, who has been supporting Sheeran on his U.K. tour, is at two with his album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, while Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes’ No Man’s Land lands the week’s highest new entry at three.
Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind falls to four, while Billie Eilish’s When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? completes the top five.
Meanwhile, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s duet Senorita tops the singles chart for a sixth week. One of Ed’s collaborations, a duet with Khalid, Beautiful People, is at two. Dominic Fike’s 3 Nights stays at three, and Kygo’s reworking of Whitney Houston’s A Higher Love moves up one place to four. AJ Tracey’s Ladbroke Grove rounds out the top five.
