Eddie Vedder performs Warren Zevon tribute at Letterman gala

Eddie Vedder performed an emotional cover of Warren Zevon’s Keep Me in Your Heart as he saluted pal David Letterman at the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor gala on Sunday (22Oct17)
The retired U.S. talk show host was honoured with the coveted award at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and the Pearl Jam rocker had a special tribute lined up.
The Zevon track featured on the late singer/songwriter’s final album.
Zevon was a frequent guest on Letterman’s The Late Show, and he performed during a visit to the programme in October, 2002, just before he lost his battle with terminal cancer.
Jimmy Kimmel, Bill Murray, Amy Schumer, and Martin Short were also among the famous friends and fans who saluted Letterman at the tribute.
