Eminem lands ninth U.K. number one single

Eminem’s collaboration with Ed Sheeran, River, has become the rapper’s ninth U.K. number one single.
The hip-hop star’s latest track climbs to the top of Friday’s (19Jan18) Official Charts Company list, replacing Ed’s hit Perfect at the top of the countdown.
In at two is U.K. rapper Ramz’s debut single, Barking, with Perfect dropping down to three. At four is Clean Bandit’s I Miss You, while Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s Finesse completes the top five.
The soundtrack to the movie musical The Greatest Showman holds on to the number one spot in the albums chart, ahead of Camila Cabello’s self-titled debut solo album, which enters at two.
Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (divide) falls to three, Eminem’s Revival rises to four, and Sam Smith’s The Thrill of It All rounds out the top five.
Meanwhile, The Cranberries’ greatest hits collection, Stars, has re-entered the chart following the sudden death of singer Dolores O’Riordan on Monday.
The album charts at number 16, its highest position to date, while the group’s hits Zombie and Linger return to the singles countdown at 45 and 47, respectively.
In the band’s native Ireland, Linger, Zombie and the group’s other big hit Dreams have all re-entered the top 40.
